Job summary

Redline Group is urgently seeking a Contract DSP Engineer – Radar for a Cambridge-based technology business. The role focuses on radar signal processing, real-time software development and algorithm implementation within a small, expert team.

The contract is expected to run 3-4 months initially, with strong extension potential. On-site work in Cambridge is required for the majority of the assignment, and the candidate should assess IR35 as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in radar signal processing and target tracking.
• Hands-on real-time software development in Rust, C or C++.
• Experience with GPU-accelerated DSP on NVIDIA platforms and Jetson devices.

The Redline Group has an urgent requirement for a Contract DSP Engineer – Radar to support an exciting Cambridge based technology business developing advanced sensor and radar systems. The company is currently bringing a next-generation product to market and requires an experienced contractor to support the development of its signal processing capability during a critical phase of product development.

This is a hands‑on role focused on radar signal processing, real-time software development and algorithm implementation, working closely with a small, highly experienced team developing a new ground-based sensing platform.

This role is expected to last 3-4 months initially with strong potential for extension. The successful contractor will be required on-site in Cambridge for the majority of the assignment.

Key Skills Required – Contract DSP Engineer - Radar

• Radar Signal Processing (Range Doppler, CFAR Detection & Target Tracking)
• Real-Time Software Development using Rust, C or C++
• GPU-accelerated signal processing on NVIDIA platforms, ideally NVIDIA Jetson, handling high data rates in real time
• Test-driven development and experience creating DSP test harnesses
• FPGA exposure is desirable

The successful contractor will help develop the end-to-end signal processing chain, supporting the transition from simulated data environments through to real-world hardware integration as the project progresses.

As our client is considered exempt for IR35 purposes, the successful candidate will be responsible for assessing IR35 status, should you wish to operate via your own PSC.
