Job summary

SoCode Limited is seeking a Contract Systems Test Engineer in Cambridge to modernise production test systems for lighting controllers. The role involves defining requirements, selecting hardware, and building a complete ATE solution.

You’ll work closely with engineers to design, implement and document robust test systems on a hybrid, on-site basis. The ideal candidate has hands-on LabVIEW/TestStand experience, familiarity with test and measurement hardware, and a track record of turning

Qualifications

• Experience with LabVIEW and TestStand for automated test systems.
• Experience with test and measurement equipment and integrating hardware.
• Ability to define hardware requirements and select appropriate components.
• Strong collaboration with engineers to deliver an end-to-end test solution.

Responsibilities

• Develop new automated test systems from a clean slate.
• Work with engineers to define the test system and requirements.
• Translate requirements into test equipment and architecture.
• Specify and select test hardware based on system needs.
• Design and build complete ATE/test stand solutions with off-the-shelf gear.
• Develop test systems for lighting controllers using rack-based ATE.
• Document system requirements, decisions and configurations.
• Integrate test hardware with software into robust, maintainable systems.
• Lead technical discussions on requirements, hardware and architecture.
