Job summary

Venesky Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Kilmarnock, seeks an Assistant Accountant for a contract lasting up to 12 months. The role involves managing financial monitoring and reporting aligned with the Financial Strategy. The right candidate will have SVQ Level 3 in finance and be proficient in financial management systems.

Responsibilities include oversight of accounting functions and treasury management, alongside developing partnerships to enhance service delivery. The position offers a rate of £200/day and is fully onsite.

Qualifications

• SVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a finance-related subject.
• Knowledge of financial management systems.
• Demonstrable knowledge of technical financial and management accounting.
• Ability to analyse numbers focusing on interpreting and presenting financial results.

Responsibilities

• Manage financial monitoring and reporting in line with the Financial Strategy.
• Provide day-to-day management of the accountancy function.
• Manage regular bank reconciliations and cash flow management.
• Develop productive partnerships with External Funders.
