About the role

An exciting opportunity to join our Nottingham-based Global Sourcing team as a Continuous Improvement Specialist. This permanent role drives operational excellence through Lean, Six Sigma, and other improvement tools. Collaborate cross-functionally to identify inefficiencies, reduce waste, enhance processes, and embed a culture of continuous improvement across the organization.

The Global Sourcing Lean function is responsible for identifying and delivering process improvements, both internally and within our supplier base. The selected candidate will be a key member of the Lean function and will be reporting to the Lean Manager.

Key responsibilities
  • Lead and facilitate Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives across departments.
  • Analyse current processes to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction.
  • Develop and implement process improvement projects using Lean, Kaizen, and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Train and coach employees on Lean principles and tools to build organisational capability.
  • Identify opportunities both internally and within the supply base. Manage resulting improvement projects and report on the progress.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Use data‑driven analysis to measure performance and validate improvements.
  • Support the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices.
What you’ll need to have
  • Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and other CI methodologies.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to lead workshops and training sessions
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and process mapping tools.
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge or experience within an Operations, Supply Chain or Manufacturing environment
  • Self‑driven and curious mindset
  • Ability and willingness to travel
