Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Analyse current production workflows to identify and eliminate inefficiencies.
  • Implement improvements to reduce waste, increase output and enhance quality.
  • Collect and interpret production data to monitor performance.
  • Investigate root causes of production issues via 5-Why or similar Lean Tools.
  • Develop and implement corrective and preventative actions.
  • Lead or support projects aimed at improving productivity and runrate.
  • Support the introduction of new equipment and/or processes.
  • Champion 5S onsite in order to achieve outstanding workplace organisation.
  • Provide support to the Process Lead and Process Engineer in order to achieve company’s short and long term goals.
  • Lead A3 / DMAIC projects through to completion and benefits realisation.
  • Champion the use of Lean Tools to enhance process troubleshooting and deliver effective process improvement onsite.
Qualifications

Essential

  • Previous experience in Lean / Continuous Improvement / Production or Process Engineering roles
  • Hands-on approach to continuous improvement activities, leading by example in everything they do
  • Resilient, relentless and resourceful
  • Results orientated and able to prioritise efforts based on Company’s needs
  • Organised, methodical, focused and committed
  • Creative, innovative and passionate about improving self and others
  • Action orientated individual, self-motivated and willing to learn and deliver results
  • Able to assign tasks and motivate others
  • Able to work autonomously, with minimum supervision
  • Natural Communicator with a bias for action
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Package (Excel / PPT / Word / SharePoint / Power BI)

Desired

  • Working knowledge in the application of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies on a multi-disciplinary environment (5S, PDCA, DMAIC, VSM, etc)
  • Yellow Belt / Green Belt / Lean Six Sigma Qualification
  • Experience delivering Continuous Improvement Training
