Overview

Questech are recruiting on behalf of our client in Selby. This client are looking for an experienced Continuous Improvement Engineer.

The Person
  • HND or equivalent in a Manufacturing or Engineering discipline or have experience of working in a Manufacturing Engineering role
  • Lead Six Sigma Green Belt in process improvement methodologies - would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Project Management certifications, such as PRINCE2 or PMP, to strengthen project leadership skills - would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Previous experience working in a maintenance and/or engineering role.
  • Knowledge of relevant Engineering & Manufacturing Engineering standards and HSE regulations.
  • A team player with a professional conduct and problem-solving skills and who has a proactive, “can-do” approach.
The Role
  • To assist in the development, implementation, and sustainability of capable methods of manufacturing, including process improvements, problem solving, re-engineering, and delivering capital investments.
  • Contribute and support the development and implementation of the best practice manufacturing vision, strategies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performances.
  • Develop the manufacturing capability and technology to ensure delivery of products that meet the product specifications and customer expectations.
  • Active involvement on the Maintenance Program of plant and equipment to improve asset performance.
  • Drive process improvements on Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by appropriate data analysis and through problem-solving techniques with root cause established.
  • Ensure contractors on site meet and adhere to legal and company requirements.
  • To share ideas, improve operations, recommending, supporting and implementing continuous improvement activities, process and procedure improvements to optimise and improve machine efficiency and reduce breakdowns, in line with Company and customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with all departments, to align continuous improvement initiatives and continue development of performance.

This role is working a Monday to Friday days.

The salary will be between £40,000pa - £42,000pa (Dependant on experience)
