Job description

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Enterprise Platform Application Developer to lead the design, development, and optimisation of applications across specialised platforms such as VM, TPF, Microfocus COBOL, Tandem, and HP-3000. You will apply strong C# and TypeScript expertise, implementing Clean Architecture and Clean Code principles to deliver scalable, maintainable solutions. Your role will involve advanced use of AI/LLM concepts, including prompt engineering and retrieval-augmented generation, to enhance functionality. You will analyse outputs for sufficiency, completeness, and freshness, mitigating risks such as hallucinations in AI-driven processes. This position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to integrate modern technologies with legacy enterprise platforms. You will mentor junior developers, guiding them in best practices and innovative approaches.

Responsibilities
  • Lead application development across VM, TPF, Microfocus COBOL, Tandem, and HP-3000 platforms.
  • Implement Clean Architecture and Clean Code principles in C# and TypeScript solutions.
  • Apply AI/LLM techniques such as prompt engineering and RAG to enhance applications.
  • Analyse and validate outputs for relevance, accuracy, and risk mitigation.
  • Mentor junior developers and review their code for quality assurance.
Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in software development with C# and TypeScript.
  • Experience with AI/LLM concepts (e.g., prompt engineering, RAG).
  • Analytical mindset for assessing sufficiency, relevance, completeness, and freshness, and mitigating risks such as hallucinations.
  • Focus on Clean Architecture and Clean Code principles.
  • Strong expertise in C# and TypeScript development.
  • Experience with one or more enterprise platforms (VM, TPF, Microfocus COBOL, Tandem, HP-3000).
  • Deep understanding of Clean Architecture and Clean Code practices.
  • Proficiency in AI/LLM concepts, prompt engineering, and RAG.
  • Analytical mindset for assessing sufficiency and mitigating AI-related risks.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
  • Experience integrating AI capabilities into legacy enterprise systems.
  • Familiarity with Microfocus COBOL optimisation techniques.
  • Background in performance tuning on mid-range enterprise platforms.
  • Knowledge of advanced AI hallucination prevention strategies.
