Job description

Our Legal 500 Client’s highly regarded Wills, Trusts and Estates team we have a strong contentious probate practice that is going from strength to strength. With a rapidly growing caseload and reputation they now need to hire a solicitor into the team to support its continued development.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a burgeoning practice and develop a long term career in this specialist area. You’ll need to be able to hit the ground running so you must be able to demonstrate ideally at least one year’s PQE as a solicitor (or equivalent) in civil litigation work – which should include a significant amount of contentious probate work. You’ll support the Partner on their cases as well as begin to build your own caseload under supervision. To support the development of the practice area we’ll expect you to have strong client-facing skills and the potential for, and interest in, getting involved in networking and business development activities.

You will be part of an extremely friendly and welcoming team with an impressive client base and we’ll help you to grow your skills and develop your own reputation in the area. There are strong prospects for career advancement and the firm has a clear track record on promoting people based on merit with rapid advancement based on performance and ability.

As a firm it is always important to them to nurture and support our people and this year we have invested heavily to support remote working. They have also introduced many adjustments to our premises to ensure a safe working environment for those who need/want to be in the office. Over the longer term they are committed to embracing a continued degree of home working and more flexibility in working arrangements to support our people with their changing lifestyles and expectations.
