Contentious Construction Solicitor | 6+ PQE | Norwich

A leading UK law firm with a long-standing presence in East Anglia is seeking an experienced contentious construction solicitor to join its highly regarded Norwich office. The firm's Construction and Engineering team is recognised as one of the strongest in the regions, advising developers, contractors, funders, and public sector clients on complex disputes and risk management across the UK.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Managing complex construction disputes: Acting for employers, contractors, and professionals in adjudication, arbitration, and High Court litigation involving major projects and standard form contracts including JCT, NEC, and bespoke agreements.
  • Providing clear, commercial advice: Advising clients on contentious issues such as delay, payment, and defects, ensuring practical, cost-effective solutions aligned with their commercial objectives.
  • Collaborating across disciplines: Working alongside colleagues in real estate, development, and corporate teams to deliver seamless advice on live construction and engineering projects.
  • Supporting practice development: Helping to strengthen the Norwich office's established client base, contributing to business development, and mentoring junior members of the team.
About You
  • Qualified Solicitor with 6+ years' PQE in contentious construction
  • Experienced in adjudication, litigation, and/or arbitration work
  • Strong technical ability and sound understanding of construction contracts
  • Commercially focused, solutions-driven, and collaborative in approach
