Job summary

NBCUniversal in London offers a 12-month internship programme designed to provide hands-on experience in content strategy, distribution, and business insights. You will work with internal teams across NBCU’s business lines, collaborating on new distribution models and lifecycle management of content.

You’ll gain exposure to market trends, campaign planning, and reporting while developing practical skills in an international media environment.

Qualifications

• Currently an undergraduate returning to full-time education in Autumn 2028.
• Able to work in the UK for the duration of the internship.
• Able to work onsite four days per week in Central London.

Responsibilities

• Support Content Strategy team in developing and trialing new business models for distribution/windowing.
• Support Content Strategy Director in growing non-theatrical and festival distribution.
• Manage trackers, slate decks and smartsheets; assist in project management.
• Coordinate with marketing and operations teams worldwide to ensure information flow.
• Assist in campaign planning and asset creation for full lifecycle of products and rights.
• Liaise with creative agencies to develop sales tools for SVOD and TV exploitation.
• Create regular reporting on content performance and track app service data.

Programme Eligibility

To join one of our 12-month Internships you must meet one of the following criteria:

1. You’re currently an undergraduate studying at University and returning to full time education in Autumn 2028
2. You’re looking to gain work experience after completing your A-Levels, an equivalent course or an Apprenticeship

Additionally, you must also:

• Be eligible to work in the UK without restriction for the duration of the internship from Monday 5th July 2027 – Friday 21st July 2028
• Be able to work in NBCUniversal's Central London office on-site four days per week

What will I be doing?

Content Distribution Strategy & New Business Initiatives

• Support Universal Pictures Content Group Content Strategy team in developing and trialing new business models for distribution/windowing, working with internal stakeholders across NBCU business lines
• Support Content Strategy Director in growing non-traditional distribution of acquisition titles, in particular non-theatrical and festival distribution

Content Distribution & Lifecycle Management

• Manage Universal Pictures Content Group trackers, slate decks, smartsheets
• Manage lifecycle calendar for drafting opportunities and support Director in projects management
• Liaise with marketing and operations teams worldwide to trouble shoot any issues with information flow
• Campaign & asset planning / creation: work closely with the marketing team to ensure assets are created and campaign plans are developed to support full lifecycle of our products and all rights
• Liaise with creative agencies to develop sales tools to support SVOD & TV exploitation

Business Insights

• Create regular reporting on content performance
• Track subscription App service data for Universal Pictures Content Group
• Assisting with daily database maintenance
• Assist in monitoring and communicating market trends
• Ensure quality of information in various reporting systems

Qualifications

What do I need to bring to the role?

• Attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure
• Ability to communicate with people at all levels in a professional manner
• Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and undertake various administrative duties
• Knowledge of Excel would be advantageous, though not essential
