A publishing house is seeking a talented Content Production Designer to join their team in London. This hybrid role involves designing key artwork and collaborating with art directors and editorial teams. The ideal candidate should have a strong command of design principles and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop. This contract is for 4 months with a pay rate of £323 per day.

Role: Content Production Designer

Rate: £323 p/d (Via Umbrella)

Location: London (Z1) – Hybrid Model – 3 days p/w on site

Duration: 4 months

We’re seeking a talented Production Designer to join our Content Design team. This role is perfect for a designer with exceptional visual design skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a genuine passion for bringing books to life in the digital space.

Experience Required:

  • Strong command of visual and communication design principles with particular expertise in typography and layout
  • Experience in publishing, marketing design, editorial design, or digital book retail.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop for cover art adaptation and enhancement
  • Proven ability to create and maintain cohesive visual systems across multiple formats
  • Extensive experience with photo retouching, compositing, and colour correction
  • Experience naming files according to production specifications with exceptional attention to detail
  • Clear communication skills with the ability to articulate design decisions to diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently to troubleshoot technical and process-related issues

Responsibilities:

  • Design and adapt key artwork for features, curated collections, and promotional campaigns.
  • Partner with art directors, creative producers, and editorial teams to bring campaigns to life.
  • Craft visually stunning presentations that bring our campaigns to life for partners and stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain design templates and systems that ensure consistent, scalable production.
  • Document workflows, maintain comprehensive style guides, and share best practices with the team.
  • Ensure quality excellence through thorough review of all design assets before publication.
