Job description

We are seeking an experienced Content Manager to join our global marketing team and help lead the development and execution of our content marketing strategy across multiple markets and service lines. In this role, you will be responsible for the hands‑on leadership of a small team in the creation of compelling, insight‑driven, multi‑media content that positions Control Risks as the leading global security and strategic intelligence firm. As Content Manager, you will work closely with marketing teams, consultants and subject matter experts to turn varied and sometimes complex offerings into accessible, engaging content that resonates with senior decision‑makers and executive leadership in businesses across the world. You will oversee the full content lifecycle, from ideation and execution through to publication and performance analysis. What You'll Do:

  • Content creation and management: You will create, edit and oversee the work of your team across a diverse range of multi-media content including case studies, brochures, flyers, blog posts, thought leadership, and social media content. You will ensure all content maintains our brand voice, meets quality standards, and demonstrates deep understanding of our clients' priorities. Working with internal experts, you will distil sometimes complex offerings into clear, actionable content that drives engagement and supports business strategy.
  • Content strategy and planning: You will help develop and implement comprehensive content strategies aligned with our business objectives and client needs. This includes collaborating in the development of marketing campaigns, overseeing the progression of content through the brand asset and content management platform, and being a key player in the delivery of an effective and efficient service to the business. Central to this role will be an ongoing focus on improving processes and bringing best practice to workflows.
  • Digital Content Optimisation: You will optimise content for digital channels, applying SEO best practices and using analytics to measure performance and inform content decisions. You will work with our digital marketing team to ensure content is effectively activated across our website, email campaigns, and social platforms.
  • Team Leadership & Development: As well as producing and editing content yourself, you will manage a small team of content producers and editors. You will be responsible for supporting your team in producing outputs to required standard, creating a framework where team members are able to thrive and develop.
We are looking for someone with 5-7 years of experience in content management, creation and editing - ideally within international professional services, consulting, or B2B environments. You should have a proven track record of delivering content that engages audiences and drives measurable business outcomes.
  • You must be an exceptional writer and editor with the ability to write compellingly about complex concepts without losing nuance or credibility. Experience in professional standard video and podcast production is essential. You should have the ability to provide creative and editorial guidance, feedback and constructive criticism. You should have strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities across different time zones and deadlines.
  • Experience of working on production processes and workflow, including the use of digital asset and content management platforms.
  • A solid understanding of content marketing principles, SEO fundamentals, and digital analytics is required.
  • Familiarity with the business services or consulting sector would be highly advantageous.
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field.
  • Evidence of postgraduate/ in‑role training/qualifications in relevant professional skills
Control Risks offers a competitively positioned compensation and benefits package that is transparent and summarised in the full job offer.
  • We operate a discretionary global bonus scheme that incentivises, and rewards individuals based on company and individual performance.
  • As an equal opportunities employer, we encourage suitably qualified applicants from a wide range of backgrounds to apply and join us and are fully committed to equal treatment, free from discrimination, of all candidates throughout our recruitment process.
