A dynamic technology company in Leeds is seeking a Content Executive to join their team. The role involves creating compelling content and managing social media to resonate with higher education audiences. Ideal candidates will have strong writing skills, SEO knowledge, and experience with various content tools. The position offers a salary range of ÂŁ27,000 - ÂŁ37,000 plus benefits in a hybrid work environment.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative Content Executive to join our growing Content team, on a 12-month fixed term contract. Youâll support the Commercial function here at Genio to generate, repurpose and transform content, creating high quality formats and mediums that resonate with our target, higher education audiences.
You will also be encouraged to experiment with new and existing channels to find the best way to deliver our message, enabling Genio to become the âgo to resourceâ for thought leadership content for people looking to make learning quicker and easier for everyone!
Genio's Marketing team is made up of four areas: Content (that's where you'd come in!), Demand Generation, Customer Marketing and Learner Marketing.
You'd join a team of four including Genioâs Content Manager (Jacob - your line Manager), Jason (Website Lead), Phoebe (Content Executive and due to go off on Maternity leave!) and Box (Graphic Designer).
đď¸ Crafting compelling copy: A confident writer, able to understand our inâhouse tone of voice to create and repurpose compelling and engaging content that ultimately leads to conversions. Youâll also understand SEO and AEO principles, understanding how different channels work for our audience with the ability to tailor your message to the medium.
đ¤ Leveraging a community: Youâll work cross functionally to source and scope unique user stories within our community and leverage this collateral to bring real life examples to specific personas.
đď¸ Stakeholder Management: You will work closely with the wider Commercial team, understanding priorities alongside our editorial calendar. Youâll also keep a top of internal developments allowing you to support and enable revenue teams as well as position Genio in the best way.
đą Social media: Be able to curate engaging content across our social channels, managing our online presence including engaging with Genioâs audience. Youâll also be confident in understanding our key metrics and drive our messaging backed by data.
đ Keeping ahead of the curve: Youâll have your finger on the pulse of the latest industry trends, thinking outside the box and feedback on new ideas to be implemented. Youâll also understand how to leverage the latest AI technologies to increase our reach and create efficiencies within your role!

We have a beautiful office space in Leeds and we love it when we get together to collaborate in person. We typically operate a hybrid way of working, however some of our roles support remote working within the UK, if you live more than 50 miles from the office.
Please note, for this role, we would ask you to travel to our Leeds office on a monthly basis to fulfil content creation duties. All travel costs will be funded by Genio for remote employees.
