Job description

Methods is currently looking for a Content Designer on a contract basis.

Mid-level content designer working occasionally in Newcastle or Blackpool. (2 days per month roughly)

Contract: Through until April 2026

Details:

1. Service – Attendance Allowance citizen-facing journey
2. Current focus is on the application service
3. The system to process the applications is old and inefficient/ineffective
4. Priority will be to migrate to a new system
5. The team has big ambitions but realistic expectations regarding the transformation agenda
6. Large multi-disciplinary team – 19 members
7. UCD lead team, UR already in the team
8. Very agile, fast, iterative, doing things the right way
9. Internal team (agents) supporting Attendance Allowance are based in Blackpool; project team is based in Newcastle. Occasional onsite visits to both hubs will be useful. The role is largely remote, with flexibility for onsite work.
10. Experience with GDS prototyping kit is essential
