Job description

THE EMPLOYER IS: DIGITAL TWENTY FOUR.This is an entry level position within a digital marketing agency. The participant will be focused on learning how to create content for social media, while supporting the wider team with day-to-day content tasks, rather than being responsible for full campaigns on your own. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys social media, is creative and wants to start a career in digital marketing.Full training will be provided on how to use our tools, follow brand guidelines and work with client content. You will work closely with the team of digital marketers to see how an agency operates. The participant will gain experience in planning, producing and posting content across different platforms and develop confidence in sharing ideas, taking feedback and improving your work over time.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting in the creation of graphics and short form videos for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn.
  • Helping to write simple captions, hooks and on screen text that match each client’s tone of voice.
  • Supporting blog and website content, including drafting basic copy, editing and uploading posts through a content management system.
  • Helping with photography and video shoots, including set up, packing away equipment and capturing behind the scenes content.
  • Organising and saving photos and videos into the correct folders so the team can find them easily.
  • Carrying out basic research into trending audio, content formats, hashtags and platform updates.
  • Assisting with scheduling posts using tools such as Meta Business Suite or other scheduling platforms like plannable.
  • Checking that scheduled posts publish correctly and flagging any issues to the team.
  • Joining campaign brainstorming sessions, noting down ideas and contributing simple creative suggestions.
  • Helping to reply to or pass on comments and messages that come in through social media, following agreed guidelines.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Confidence using at least one social media platform in your personal life.
  • Good written and spoken English, with the ability to proofread your own work for spelling and grammar.
  • A genuine interest in learning about digital marketing, content and social media.
  • Strong attention to detail, for example checking dates, names, links and tags before content goes live.
  • Willingness to listen to instructions and follow checklists or step by step processes.
  • Comfortable asking questions when you are unsure, rather than guessing.
  • Ability to work alongside others, share tasks and accept feedback in a positive way.
  • Openness to learning new tools and platforms as the role develops.
  • Any previous experience creating content for your own social media, even if informal.
  • Familiarity with Canva or other simple design apps, for example editing text on an image.
  • Basic experience filming or editing videos on a phone, such as using CapCut, InShot or similar.
  • Understanding of how to use TikTok, Reels or Stories features like filters, text and stickers.
  • An interest in photography, design, media, art or creative subjects.
  • Awareness of popular social media creators or brands and how they present their content.
  • Any school, college, voluntary or hobby projects where you have helped with posters, videos or social pages.
  • Basic understanding of how to save and organise files in folders on a computer or cloud system.
