BBC is offering a Content Creator apprenticeship to learn how to research, write, produce and edit content across subjects for BBC audiences. You will monitor audience trends and create video, audio and written content, while developing skills in photography, SEO and website creation.
You'll work with experienced professionals, join a team across BBC platforms and travel for in-person learning blocks as part of the Level 3 Content Creator apprenticeship.
As a Content Creator apprentice, this is brilliant opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute - you could expect to:
You'll study for your industry recognised apprenticeship qualification, learning both on and off the job. This means that as well as learning on your placement at the BBC, you'll also attend learning blocks (up to a week at a time) with our learning provider, working towards an industry recognised apprenticeship qualification - Level 3 Content Creator.
Learning blocks will be a mixture of in-person and virtual delivery, including attending instructor‑led workships, tutorial sessions, presentations and group work.
For more information on what you will study during the scheme, please see the Content Creator apprenticeship standard.
As part of the programme, you will be required to travel to attend in-person learning blocks and other apprenticeship‑related activities where necessary.
We're interested in your passion for working at the BBC and your enthusiasm for delivering world‑class content and operational excellence to our audiences. We're not focused on your qualifications; instead, we look for potential and offer you the opportunity to apply your transferable strengths and experience to work in different ways.
If you can bring some of these skills and experiences, along with transferable strengths, we'd love to hear from you and encourage you to apply:
Join us as an apprentice at the BBC to give yourself the opportunity to kick‑start your career in a job you'll love. We're committed to your skills and talent development. You'll learn on‑the‑job, developing your knowledge and skills in an area that interests you, whilst working towards your apprenticeship qualification with one of our learning providers.
The Content Creator apprenticeship is designed to equip you with the skills to create engaging, impactful content across a range of platforms. You'll learn how to plan and develop creative ideas, research target audiences, and produce audio, visual and written content suitable for different channels. This hands‑on, immersive programme combines practical workshops, interactive sessions, assignments and collaborative group projects. You'll gain experience in creating, recording and editing video and audio content, while developing your planning, presentation and pitching skills. The scheme also provides a foundation in photography and imaging, social media and search engine optimisation (SEO), and website creation, giving you a broad understanding of modern digital content production.
