Role Summary

As our Content + Brand Manager, you’ll lead our digital content and brand presence, working closely with the rest of the Communications + Engagement team to strengthen ARIA’s reputation and grow awareness of our work.

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about ARIA’s mission and wants to be a key player of ARIA’s journey by coming in early-stage and delivering impactful brand stories across our core platforms.

What you’ll do
  • Support the creation and execution of ARIA’s content strategy: work with the Director of Comms + Engagement to develop and execute ARIA’s overarching content framework, ensuring alignment with our mission and strategic objectives.
  • Partner with teams across ARIA to ideate, produce and commission innovative storytelling approaches, developing compelling stories, narratives and formats across our owned channels (social media, website, newsletters) for programmatic activities and org-wide initiatives.
  • Manage the development of key communications materials, presentations, and print/digital collateral, ensuring all content is on-brand and consistent with messaging guidelines.
  • Oversee the day-to-day management and proactive development of ARIA’s website, ensuring its content remains fresh, engaging, and aligned with broader communications efforts, including working with technical colleagues and agency partners to ensure its maintenance.
  • Serve as ARIA’s brand guardian, ensuring communications materials across the organisation consistently reflect brand guidelines:
  • Oversee the maintenance of core brand communications assets, ensuring they are up-to-date and accessible for teams across the organisation to leverage.
  • Manage freelance support to deliver on our branding and content development needs.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of high-profile ARIA events, driving on event content development and branding.
  • Manage and grow ARIA’s social media channels:
  • Work closely with stakeholders across the organisation, from programme teams to other members of the communications team, to support strategic moments through our social channels.
  • Manage ARIA’s social media channels day-to-day, from content creation to community engagement.
  • Analyse performance metrics to refine and optimise content strategies, driving stronger audience engagement and brand awareness.
Who you are

A successful candidate will bring many of the following skills/experience to the role:

  • Substantial experience in digital communications at an agency or in-house, in any sector/industry.
  • A creative thinker and problem solver who is able to challenge how things are done.
  • Very strong admin/project management skills, highly organised and with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience in creating and overseeing engaging visual and written content for social media platforms – both commissioning/editing and executing.
  • A quick learner with the ability to adapt to new channels and tools.
  • Must have an eye for design, and familiarity with visual content creation tools like Canva or InDesign is a plus.
  • Team player willing to jump in where needed and excited by the idea of working in a fast-paced, early-stage startup work environment.
  • Passionate about improving the potential of breakthrough science, and highly motivated by the opportunity to build an iconic brand and world-changing community.
Benefits
  • Bonus: A discretionary, non-contractual annual bonus.
  • Pension: A defined contribution pension scheme with a 5% employer contribution.
  • Annual Leave: 27 days per year, in addition to statutory bank holidays and the option to buy or sell up to three days of leave.
  • Wellbeing & Support:
    • Access to a free, confidential 24/7 employee assistance programme.
    • Life Assurance coverage equivalent to three times your annual base salary.
  • Additional Benefits:
    • Participation in the Cycle to Work scheme.
    • Two days of paid volunteer leave annually.
