A leading environmental consultancy in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced professional to manage and advise on Contaminated Land matters. You'll implement strategies, conduct inspections, and prepare legal documentation. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Environmental studies and experience with ArcGIS databases. This position offers a primarily remote work environment, with occasional office visits.

Qualifications

• Experience in work related to contaminated land.
• Proficiency in using ArcGIS databases.
• A relevant degree in an Environmental subject or equivalent relatable experience.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, guidance, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Advise and conduct inspections related to Contaminated Land matters.
• Update and implement the Council's Contaminated Land Strategy.
• Conduct inspections and investigations to ensure compliance.
• Prepare and serve notices and provide evidence for legal proceedings.
• Maintain records and assist with data provision for returns.
• Develop and update a Council GIS database.
• Prepare detailed and complex reports.
• Examine planning and building control applications.
