V.Group is seeking a 2nd Engineer for a container ship, with joining date 15 September 2026. This contract position is based aboard shipboard and reports to the Chief Engineer, supervising junior engineers and ratings to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Responsibilities include preparing the main propulsion for sea, maintaining all auxiliary, cargo and deck machinery, and ensuring the machinery spaces are clean and sound.

This role focuses on the direct organization and supervision of daily operations, managing both junior engineering officers and engine room ratings. Key duties include the preparation of main propulsion systems for sea, the maintenance of all auxiliary, cargo, and deck machinery, and ensuring the general cleanliness and structural integrity of machinery spaces
