Job summary

Specsavers in Colchester is seeking a qualified Contact Lens Optician to join our team. You will carry out contact lens fitting and aftercare in line with company procedures and professional guidelines, advise customers on lens options and prescriptions, and support spectacle dispensing promotions.

You will be a team player with GOC registration, focused on customer service, and benefit from ongoing clinical development opportunities and employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have previous experience as an optician.
• Must hold a GOC registration number.

Responsibilities

• Carry out contact lens fitting and aftercare in accordance with Company procedures and professional guidelines.
• Advise customers on contact lens options and prescriptions.
• Explain spectacle dispensing options and current promotions.
• Ensure appointment times are efficiently managed and customer waiting time is minimized.
• Provide insertion / removal instruction to patients as required.

Salary: Competitive salary of £43,000 depending on experience + £20K Welcome Bonus (Terms apply)

Experience Level: Must have previous experience working in an optician and must have a GOC number.

The Role in a Nutshell:

• Carry out contact lens fitting and aftercare in accordance with Company procedures and professional guidelines
• Deal with general enquiries and advise customers on contact lenses
• Ensure that all customers have a clear understanding of the contact lens options for their prescription. Advise customers on spectacle dispensing options, including current promotions
• Ensure that appointment times are efficiently managed and that customer waiting time is minimized
• Provide insertion / removal instruction to patients as required
