This role sits within our Consumer Insights (Digital) team, which operates across all nine markets to help shape the future of our digital audio products and offerings. We deliver meaningful, user‑centred experiences and ensure audience insights drive strategic decisions.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Consumer Insights Manager to lead Bauer Media Audio’s consumer insight team. This is a pivotal role where you’ll ensure audience understanding sits at the heart of our digital strategy. You’ll deliver a portfolio of qualitative, quantitative, and social listening research to inform content, competition strategy, and product development.

You’ll bring strong expertise in social listening and manage a small team, fostering a culture of curiosity, rigour, and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
Insight Leadership & Research Delivery
  • Plan and deliver multi‑market research projects using mixed methods (qualitative, quantitative, social listening, ethnography).
  • Translate data into actionable insights that influence content, commercial, and marketing decisions.
  • Oversee social listening projects and integrate findings with broader research.
Content & Digital Strategy Support
  • Partner with market teams to provide research‑led insights for podcasts, social video, music, and subscription offerings.
  • Analyse audience behaviours and trends to guide content development and digital strategy.
Team Leadership & Capability Building
  • Line manage a small team, providing coaching and mentorship.
  • Build capability in research methods and insight storytelling.
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Work closely with Product, Content, Marketing, and Commercial teams to embed insights into decision‑making.
  • Present findings clearly and compellingly to senior stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience in consumer, audience, market, or digital insight, ideally with multi‑market experience.
  • Strong expertise in mixed‑methods research (quantitative, qualitative, ethnography).
  • Hands‑on experience or leadership in social listening (Brandwatch, Talkwalker, Sprout Social).
  • Ability to interpret complex datasets and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills; confident presenting to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of digital platforms and audience behaviours.
  • Desirable: Background in media research (radio, broadcast, streaming, digital content).
