A leading media organization seeks a Consumer Affairs Editor to spearhead investigative consumer journalism and set the news agenda. In this role, you will identify trends, lead campaigns, and manage a correspondent within a dynamic team. Applicants should possess strong journalistic instincts and a proven reporting background. The Consumer Affairs Editor is a new role on the Telegraph Money team. This is an opportunity to spearhead a new editorial specialism and set the news agenda with original and investigative consumer journalism.
You will be expected to source exclusives that can lead the website and splash the newspaper, identify trends, conduct investigations, lead campaigns and write analysis, features and long reads to ensure that The Telegraph’s consumer affairs coverage is of the highest standard.
The ideal candidate will be full of ideas, energy and determination, and able to think of fresh ways to take on key topics of interest.
You will report to the Money Editor, manage the role of Consumer Affairs Correspondent and work closely with other departments including News and Data.
