Job summary

Mercor is seeking a Consulting Expert to deliver high-impact advisory work for AI industry clients on a remote, contract basis. You will produce and review deliverables, synthesize data from due-diligence materials, and present client-ready recommendations grounded in quantitative analysis.

The role requires 4+ years of top-tier consulting or corporate-development experience, elite problem-solving, and advanced modeling (LBO / pro forma).

Qualifications

• 4+ years at top consulting or advisory firm or equivalent in-house corporate-development experience.
• Elite structured problem-solving skills with the ability to drive to a defensible recommendation under ambiguity.
• Strong financial and business acumen with advanced modeling (LBO / 3-statement, pro forma) and executive-level written deliverables.
• Comfort owning an engagement independently.

Responsibilities

• Produce and review consulting deliverables such as M&A and investment cases, post-merger integration plans, and strategic recommendations backed by quantitative analysis.
• Synthesize inputs like data rooms and due-diligence reports into clear, structured, well-reasoned cases.
• Deliver client-ready work products including crisp memos, models, and recommendations with explicit assumptions, risks, and conditions.
• Evaluate AI-generated content accuracy to strengthen model outputs.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure consistency, relevance, and coverage across datasets.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines while improving AI model performance.
