A prominent UK healthcare provider in Wolverhampton is seeking a Consultant Lower Limb Surgeon to join their established team. The role involves providing trauma and orthopaedic services with a focus on hip and knee arthroplasty. Candidates must hold a Lower Limb Arthroplasty Fellowship; experience with trauma is desirable. The position offers a permanent, full-time contract with a 1 in 10 week on-call rota and flexible working opportunities.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well‑established team at the Royal Wolverhampton Hospitals NHS Trust. The department is successful, with twin sites at New Cross Hospital and Cannock Chase Hospital (trauma and elective sites).
The post is for a Consultant Lower Limb Surgeon with a specialist interest in Primary Hip and Knee Arthroplasty. Candidates must hold a Lower Limb Arthroplasty Fellowship to join the existing complement of consultants. An additional Trauma fellowship and experience is desirable and the role will support complex lower limb trauma as needed.
Permanent, Full‑time – 1 in 10 week rota with a 7‑day working commitment. Flexible working to utilise hospital facilities such as theatres and outpatient clinics.
Disclosure and Barring Service Check – The role requires a submission to the Disclosure and Barring Service, complying with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
