A major healthcare provider is seeking a Consultant Surgeon specializing in Trauma & Orthopaedics in Nottingham. This full-time position involves providing comprehensive trauma and elective shoulder and elbow services at the major trauma centre. The successful candidate will lead specialist surgeries and manage acute services, requiring full GMC registration and relevant qualifications. Previous registrar-level experience is essential, along with a commitment to developing a future consultant career in the field. The role offers competitive salary and benefits.
Applications are invited for the post of Consultant Surgeon within Trauma & Orthopaedics, specialising in Upper limb. This is a substantive, full‑time, combined trauma and elective position. The successful candidate will provide general orthopaedic trauma and the full scope of trauma and elective shoulder and elbow services at the major trauma centre and the elective orthopaedic tertiary unit.
The elective component will involve specialist shoulder and elbow surgery, including revision shoulder and elbow arthroplasty in line with GIRFT and BESS recommendations for revision hubs. The post will also provide acute shoulder and elbow services, an acute subspecialist clinic and trauma operating, with work performed on the Queens Medical Centre Campus/Treatment Centre and the Nottingham City Campus.

Pay scheme: Hospital medical and dental staff

Salary: £109,725 to £145,478 per annum
