Qualifications

  • Current substantive NHS post or long-term locum post (more than 12 months)
  • Substantive NHS consultant for at least 3 years before leaving
  • No hearings or restrictions on GMC register

Responsibilities

  • Assess and operate on NHS patients referred via the NHS e-Referral System.
  • Travel to various independent sector hospitals across West Yorkshire & South Yorkshire.
  • Participate in the onboarding process and obtain Practicing Privileges.

Skills

Strong written/verbal communication in English
Experience using Microsoft Office packages
Empathetic telephone manner
Understanding of patient confidentiality

Education

Relevant sub specialist qualifications (e.g., FRCS {orth})
Currently on GMC register

One Healthis looking for a fellowship-trained ConsultantSpinal Surgeontosupport and grow the One Health Group SpinalTeam.

The successful candidate will have experience working within a similar role in aprivate or NHS setting. You should have a professional outlook, empathetictelephone manner and understand the importance of patient confidentiality.

  • Youshould currently be in a substantive NHS post OR in a long-term locum post(more than 12 months)
  • Ifnot in current NHS post, should have been a substantive NHS consultant for atleast 3 years before leaving the NHS
  • OnGMC register and have no hearings or restrictions
  • Shouldhave relevant sub specialist qualifications ( for example FRCS {orth} inOrthopaedics)
  • Beon the specialist register
Main duties of the job

This rolewill involve assessing and operating on NHS patients referred to One Health,via the NHS e-Referral System. Appointments will be held across a number ofoutreach clinic sites, with a specific focus onWest Yorkshire and Southyorkshire.Operations will take place within a range of independent sectorhospitals, the Consultant must therefore be prepared to travel.

Job responsibilities

OneHealth is looking for a Consultant Spinal Surgeon to support and grow the One Health Group Spinal team. The role will involve assessing and operatingon NHS patients referred to One Health via the NHS e-Referral System. Allsurgeons who work with One Health will be subject to our onboarding process andapproval from our Clinical Governance Lead. Practicing Privileges will berequired to be obtained for each hospital where procedures are undertaken.

Thework will be undertaken across West Yorkshire & South Yorkshire, the Consultant musttherefore be prepared to travel.
