Job description

An opportunity has arisen within the Diagnostic Imaging Service at Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust for a Consultant Radiologist with an interest in Breast imaging.

We are seeking an enthusiastic colleague, and this post would be suitable for an applicant who is either a Specialist Registrar within 6 months of CCT or an existing Consultant. The successful candidate will be expected to be proficient in all aspects of General Radiology and have an interest in Breast imaging.

There is a strong focus on providing safe and compassionate care to our patients and opportunities are available to learn, develop and expand your career.

Main duties of the job

This job is for a Consultant Radiologist with an interest in breast imaging.

The job is a full time post comprising of 10 Programmed Activities (PAs), inclusive of on call commitment.

Job responsibilities

Provide comprehensive General Radiology services with a special interest in Breast Imaging.

Perform and report on CT, MRI, ultrasound and acute imaging cases.

Engage in clinical governance, audit and peer review to maintain high-quality standards.

Attend and contribute to consultant meetings, service planning and quality improvement initiatives.

Collaborate across multiple sites within Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust.

Comply with Trust policies, clinical standards and employment requirements, including on-call residency criteria.
