Job summary

Ayming UK is hiring an R&D Tax Consultant to join our London team for an early 2027 start. You will work with clients across industries to build structured claim reports, describe R&D project activities, and liaise with government authorities to support claims.

Joining a multidisciplinary group of tax and technical experts, you will develop specialist knowledge, engage directly with clients, and contribute to advisory projects in a collaborative environment with strong career development

Qualifications

• Consulting Experience: 1–2 years in consulting or R&D Tax.
• Strong Academic Foundation: STEM degree required.
• Collaborative & Dependable: Works well in teams and follows structured methodologies.
• Proactive Learner & Problem Solver: Curious, critical thinking, initiative.

Responsibilities

• Client facing: relationship building throughout the sales and production process and liaison with government authorities on claims.
• Subject matter expert: technical understanding of your specialization with consulting process knowledge.

Your main responsabilities will be :

• Client facing:Client relationship building throughout the sales and production process. This includes regular correspondence for claim-related information and liaising directly with government task authorities on their behalf.
• Subject matter expert:A technical understanding of your specialism, with working knowledge of consulting processes.
• Report and claim management:Support in creating structured claim reports, R&D project descriptions and justifications, and claims adjustments based on determined tax liability.
• Aware and informed:Well-versed in current affairs and innovative development across key global sectors.

Qualifications

Consulting Experience: 1–2 years in consulting or R&D Tax, with backgrounds from diverse industries welcomed.

Strong Academic Foundation: STEM degree (BSc, MSc, or PhD) is required.

Collaborative & Dependable: Works well in teams, aligns with client needs, and follows structured methodologies.

Proactive Learner & Problem Solver: Demonstrates curiosity, critical thinking, and initiative in tackling challenges and learning about R&D tax.
