A leading mental health care provider in Scotland is seeking a part-time Consultant Psychiatrist to oversee care in residential Learning Disability services. Job Title: Consultant Psychiatrist
Service Line: Learning Disabilities
Professionally Accountable to: Medical Director
Managerially Responsible to: Operations Director
We are seeking an experienced part-time (4 sessions/week) Consultant Psychiatrist who will work in our Scottish Residential Learning Disability services and provide senior medical cover to our on-call rota (1 in 5).
The post holder will be the Responsible Medical Officer and will oversee and maintain the care of all residents as required and will also have responsibility for ensuring the good quality of medical care offered in accordance to GMC standards of good medical practice and other relevant professional guidelines.
In this role, your expertise will be the driving force for life-changing treatment fully supported by a Specialty Doctor and first‑class multidisciplinary team including qualified nurses, psychologist and occupational therapist.
And you'll have the opportunity to progress to Medical Director Level through our management schemes.
