The Harbour Hospital is seeking a permanent older adult psychiatry consultant to join its established inpatient multidisciplinary teams. The appointee will manage a defined caseload, assess community referrals, and take admissions responsibility with out-of-hours cover.

Full GMC registration and Specialist Register entry are required, with Section 12 approval and Approved Clinician status within 3 months. In addition to a competitive package, there is a recruitment premium and flexible working

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent is required.
• Full GMC registration and licence to practise are essential.
• On the GMC Specialist Register, or eligible for entry within 6 months of interview.
• Section 12 approval is required at commencement (within 3 months).
• Approved Clinician status, or eligible to hold it (within 3 months).
• Knowledge, skills and experience relevant to the role.

Permanent older adult psychiatry consultant post within the established inpatient multidisciplinary teams at The Harbour. The work centres on a defined caseload, assessing community referrals and taking responsibility for admissions, with out-of-hours cover. The post is full time at 10 programmed activities, with openness to part-time or job-share arrangements. Full GMC registration, Specialist Register entry and Section 12 approval are needed.
