A regional healthcare provider is seeking a full-time Consultant Psychiatrist in Liaison Psychiatry at Royal Lancaster Infirmary. This role involves leading a multidisciplinary team (MDT) in providing rapid assessments and care for patients aged 16 and over within an exciting and fast-paced environment. Candidates must possess full GMC registration and be eligible for the Specialist Register within 6 months of the interview date. Comprehensive support and development opportunities are available.

This post is eligible for a 5% payment of basic salary payable over 2 years

We are looking to recruit a Consultant Psychiatrist in Liaison Psychiatry. This full time (10PA), substantive post is based at Royal Lancaster Infirmary. You would be joining our well established Mental Health Liaison Team operating within the Emergency Department (A&E) and Medical Assessment Wards. The team provides a rapid assessment service for individuals aged 16 and over as well as assessments and advice for clients who are in-patients on medical/surgical wards within the acute Trust. Royal Lancaster Infirmary has 387 general beds.
You will be expected to participate on the Consultant On Call rota, for which additional remuneration will be paid.
Applicants should hold full GMC registration and be included on the Specialist register of the GMC or they should be eligible for entry to the Specialist Register within 6 months of the interview date.
It is a requirement that applicants are Section 12 Approved at the time of commencing employment and have or are eligible to have Approved Clinician Status. Remuneration will be as set out in the terms of the New Consultant Contract according to previous experience.
