Job summary

Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust is seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist (CAMHS Learning Disability) to deliver child-centred care across CAMHS LD services. The post is substantive with 10 PAs per week, operating Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, with an on-call rota.

The base location will be discussed at interview and may be across Herefordshire or Worcestershire, in a supportive multidisciplinary team environment.

  • Experience in CAMHS Learning Disability is desirable.

Job description

This exciting appointment is for a newly developed Consultant Psychiatrist (10 PAs) post working within the Herefordshire and Worcestershire CAMHS Learning Disability Service. The post-holder will provide a consistent and child centred provision into the CAMHS Learning Disability Service. The post is substantive with 10PAs per week being offered. The service operates Monday to Friday, with working hours primarily between 9am and 5pm. There is an on call rota associated with this post. The CAMHS LD service is a friendly, multi-disciplinary team that includes specialist LD/CAMHS clinicians, psychologists and medical colleagues. The base for this position will be discussed and agreed at interview and could be anywhere across the two Counties including Hereford, Worcester, or Kidderminster.   • Commitment to the annual medical appraisal with the Trust having a number of trained appraisers and the process designed to contribute to revalidation by the GMC.
  • A dedicated Medical Directorate Support team providing support for all medical staff across Medical HR, Appraisal, Revalidation, and CPD.
