A healthcare recruitment agency is offering an excellent opportunity for a Consultant Child & Young People Psychiatrist (Eating Disorders) to join a Tier 4 inpatient service in Brighton. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team providing evidence-based treatment for young people aged 12-18 with complex eating disorders. Qualifications

  • Full GMC registration with licence and Specialist Register (or within 6 months CCT).
  • Extensive CYPMHS experience, ideally in inpatient ED settings.
  • Excellent clinical leadership, communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Strong safeguarding awareness and trauma-informed practice.
  • Interest in research, service development or specialist therapies.

Responsibilities

  • Review referrals and assess suitability for admission.
  • Conduct admission assessments and develop effective management plans.
  • Lead assessment and ongoing treatment of CYP with eating disorders.
  • Complete regular risk assessments and monitor physical health.
  • Provide leadership, supervision and risk management to MDT.
  • Maintain high standards of governance, documentation and safeguarding.
  • Participate in CYPMHS consultant on-call rota and cross-cover arrangements.
Job description

Currently we have an excellent opportunity for a CYPMHS Eating Disorder Consultant Psychiatrist to join a specialist Tier 4 inpatient service for young people aged 12–18 with complex eating disorders. You’ll be part of a supportive, experienced multidisciplinary team delivering highly individualised, evidence-based treatment programmes designed around each young person’s needs.

Salary: £160,000 – £175,000 DOE

Location: Brighton
