Job summary

Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust seeks an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to lead a new CYP neurodiversity pathway. You will provide senior clinical leadership to the MDT, offer expert consultation and drive development of the team and service with a child-centred approach.

Qualifications

• Essential: MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
• Desirable: MRCPsych.
• Desirable: Higher degree in medical education, clinical research or management.
• Desirable: Additional clinical qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team and liaise with statutory and voluntary agencies.
• Manage a compact caseload of the most complex cases and provide senior medical advice, support, consultancy and clinical leadership to Herefordshire and Worcestershire Core CAMHS.
• Conduct outpatient clinics with routine and urgent new patient assessments and follow-ups.
• Carry out home visits and telephone/remote consultations as appropriate.
• Participate in MDT meetings and CPA reviews.
• Maintain electronic health records in line with Trust policies.
• Undertake mandatory training and participate in governance activities.
• Work within Mental Health Act duties and responsibilities.
