A leading mental health charity for veterans is looking for a part-time Consultant Psychiatrist to provide psychiatric leadership at the Belfast Hub. The role involves delivering senior clinical expertise to assess and treat veterans with mental health issues. This position offers flexible remote working options and the chance to impact veterans' lives positively. Ideal candidates must have GMC registration and relevant qualifications in psychiatry. Applicants will undergo an Access NI check.
This part time role is for 18.75 hours per week.
Remote working available. Monday to Friday - working pattern to be agreed to suit all parties, however Tuesday must be a working day to attend Hub meetings.
The post holder will provide psychiatric leadership to the Northern Ireland Hub and across the service.
You will provide senior clinical and psychiatric expertise to the multidisciplinary team contributing to the assessment, diagnosis and recommendations for treatment for veterans on both a residential and outpatient basis.
This role will be subject to an Access NI check.
Combat Stress is the UK's leading mental health charity for veterans. For over a century we've been helping former service personnel deal with issues such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety and depression. Today we provide specialist treatment and support for veterans from every service and conflict, focusing on those with complex mental health issues related to their military service. We provide a range of community, outpatient and residential mental health services to veterans with complex mental health problems and offer services in-person and online.

Location: Based at our Belfast Hub in Northern Ireland, with occasional additional remote support to Hubs in England.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
