Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Bristol is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead complex construction programmes from inception to completion. You will drive end-to-end project management, establish robust plans, and coordinate through diverse stakeholder groups.

The role emphasizes governance, risk management, budget control, and safety. Experience in a consultancy setting and LEED familiarity are highly valued. You will mentor junior PMs and identify new business opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• PM professional PMP certification is preferred.
• Proven track record delivering large-scale construction projects on time and within budget.
• Experience using MS Project and Primavera for scheduling.
• Experience in consultancy environment preferred.
• Knowledge of LEED and sustainable construction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project management for large-scale construction projects, ensuring delivery within time, budget, and quality parameters
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure project objectives are met
• Implement and oversee effective project governance, processes, and systems throughout the project lifecycle
• Conduct regular risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential issues
• Monitor project finances and manage the change control process
• Facilitate clear communication among team members and stakeholders through regular meetings and written reports
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities with existing and potential clients
• Mentor and guide junior project managers to foster their professional development

• Proficiency in project management software such as Microsoft Project and Primavera
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and team members
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Experience in a consultancy environment is preferred
• Familiarity with sustainable construction practices and LEED certification is a plus
