This is a key role leading the system wide delivery of AMS in Somerset, working with acute, community, primary care stakeholders, the Southwest Regional Antimicrobial Stewardship Lead and UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA), to locally deliver the NHSE Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) strategy.

This post is an established RPS approved Consultant Pharmacist post., You'll be the named antimicrobial stewardship (AMS) lead for the Somerset Health system, responsible for the leadership and operational delivery of a high-quality AMS programme in line with the agreed priorities.
This will involve leading an AMS pharmacy team at Somerset NHS Foundation Trust, providing a highly specialist, evidence-based service to influence infection management strategies and the safe and effective use of antimicrobials within the Trust.
You’ll also support ICB colleagues to positively impact antimicrobial prescribing practices in primary care, in line with national and local priorities.
