• Provide a comprehensive OMFS and Head and Neck service across Coventry, Warwickshire and Worcestershire.
• Work across UHCW and satellite sites (Rugby, Nuneaton, Warwick, etc.) and with peripheral hospitals.
• Support the established microvascular reconstructive service as part of the team.
• Attend to on-call duties 1 week in 8 at UHCW NHS Trust.

A golden opportunity has arisen for a full-time Consultant in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery to join the University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust (UHCW NHS Trust).

Whilst the posts are designed for an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon with a subspecialty interest in Head and Neck Surgery and Microvascular Surgery, the successful candidate will form part of a team of consultants providing a comprehensive service to the populations of Coventry, Warwickshire and Worcestershire.

The majority of the successful candidate's clinical sessions are likely to be at UHCW and its satellite clinics in Rugby, Nuneaton or. The post holder will be expected to work flexibly with colleagues from both Maxillofacial Surgery and ENT Surgery to provide a comprehensive Oral & Maxillofacial and Head and Neck Service between the various trusts. On call duties are currently 1 week in 8 covering UHCW NHS Trust.

Specifically the successful candidate will be expected to support the already established microvascular reconstructive service and in addition will also be an integral team member in the busy head and neck surgical service. In addition there will be opportunities to develop interests which complement the current team

The successful candidate will form part of a team of consultants providing a comprehensive Oral & maxillofacial Surgery service to the population of Coventry and Warwickshire. In-patient operating and some clinical activity will be at the University Hospital, but the successful candidate's remaining clinical sessions are likely to include a peripheral site which may be at Warwick Hospital, Rugby St Cross Hospital or the George Eliot Hospital, Nuneaton.

The successful applicant will be expected to manage a mixed workload of adult and paediatric patients. On call duties are currently 1 week in 8 based at UHCW NHS Trust.
