Job summary

Humber Health Partnership in the UK is expanding its consultant team in gynaecology to sustain activity levels and ensure consultant cover for the labour ward with supervision of junior doctors under the current curriculum.

The post holder will work in a hybrid rota including resident on-call for obstetrics and gynaecology at the Women and Children’s Hospital, Hull Royal Infirmary. On-call arrangements are being reviewed in line with planned expansion.

Job description

This post has arisen due to consultant expansion in the department. The post will enable us to maintain an adequate level of gynaecology activity against the background of a need for consultant cover of the labour ward and adequate supervision of the junior doctors required with the current curriculum.

The post holder will be required to work in a hybrid rota including resident on call for obstetrics and gynaecology at the Women and Children’s Hospital, Hull Royal Infirmary.

The on-call rotas are being reviewed with the planned consultant expansion, and it is highly likely the on-call element would change with further proposed expansion.
