A major teaching hospital in London seeks an experienced paediatric neurosurgeon to support its service. The role involves leadership in research and teaching, contributing to the on-call rota, and participating in multi-disciplinary team activities. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in handling emergency paediatric cases and the flexibility to adapt to various working patterns.
The remit of the postholder will be to support the paediatric neurosurgery service. The postholder will also be expected to provide leadership in research and teaching as well as contribute to the neurosurgery on call rota which includes emergency paediatric and adult patients.
The post holder will be based at King's College Hospital (KCH), work closely with colleagues at KCH, Evelina Children Hospital (ECH) and the Royal Marsden Hospital (RMH) and will be accountable to the clinical leads of paediatric and adult neurosurgery and the clinical director.
The post will be based at KCH with substantial commitments at ECH. The post holder will have responsibility for patients on the ward, and will participate in MDT meetings as well as clinics and theatre sessions.
