A leading mental health provider is seeking a part-time Consultant Neuropsychiatrist in Bristol. You will work in a multidisciplinary team and be responsible for the care of patients with complex neuropsychiatric needs. Responsibilities include leading patient treatment plans, conducting clinical audits, and ensuring quality care per GMC standards. We are seeking an experienced part‑time / 4 days per week Consultant Neuropsychiatrist who will work at Cygnet Brunel and provide senior medical cover on Pilot Ward, our 10‑bed male service for patients with brain injury and acute psychiatric comorbidity with behavioural disorders and Yawl Ward, our 6‑bed male neuropsychiatric service focusing on transition into the community and discharge.
The post holder will be the responsible clinician and will oversee and maintain the care of all ward inpatients as required and will also have responsibility for auditing the medical services rendered at the ward and ensuring their good quality in accordance to GMC standards of good medical practice and other relevant professional guidelines.
Cygnet Brunel with Triangle of Care Accredited CQC Good “soon to be outstanding”, supports the Level 1 Neuropsychiatric Rehabilitation pathway for the South West and as such accommodates Level 1 & 2a patients across all of the wards; focusing on the service users individual needs in order to prioritise the ward location. Our specialist neuropsychiatric care and treatment service in Bristol is also rated Outstanding by Headway, the Brain Injury Association.
