Job summary

Darent Valley and Queen Mary's Hospitals, part of Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust, are seeking a Consultant Radiologist with MSK subspecialty interest. The role mixes general radiology with MSK sessions, on-call duties, and service management, teaching and audit.

An 11-session job plan may be adapted to part-time and will involve work across Trust sites including the community diagnostic centre. Applicants should have completed MSK subspecialty training and FRCR or equivalent, GMC registration

Qualifications

• GMC-recognised medical degree (MBBS or equivalent).
• CST in Radiology, or within 3 months of attainment.
• FRCR (UK or Ireland) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Undertake general radiological duties, including on-call.
• Carry out MSK subspecialty sessions, including MDTs, ultrasound lists and procedures.
• Support the radiology on-call service.
• Manage the radiology service and help it run smoothly and efficiently.
• Attend Directorate and committee meetings, and management meetings affecting the department.
• Take part in formal teaching programmes.
• Take part in ongoing clinical audit programmes.
• Develop or maintain sub-specialist interests.
• Spend most of the working time on clinical duties.
• Work at any Trust site as required, including the community diagnostic centre.
