A leading healthcare provider in the United Kingdom seeks a full-time Consultant Midwife to join their multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will strengthen midwifery leadership, focusing on expert clinical practice and promoting equitable care pathways for pregnant women. Emphasis on teamwork and innovative care approaches is essential for this role.
Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust is welcoming applications for a full-time permanent Consultant Midwife post to join our expanding multidisciplinary team. This new post is designed to strengthen our midwifery leadership structure. We are looking for enthusiastic, dynamic, and a forward-thinking individual who are committed to teamwork and to delivering safe, high-quality care.
The post holder will develop collaborative strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders, working closely with colleagues across midwifery obstetric neonatal and anaesthetic services through application of the four pillars of the consultant midwife. The post holder will work across professional and organisational boundaries to develop local services that meet national and international benchmarks, which are accessible, acceptable, clinically effective and centred in evidence-based practice. This requires the post holder to innovate, work without precedent, process complex information, overcome barriers in communication and negotiate positive change.
In partnership with the midwives, medical staff and maternity and Neonatal voices partnership, the post holder will promote and provide equitable and expert responsive care for all women, birthing people and their families. The post holder will take a strategic lead on the design and implementation of effective care pathways for pregnant women and birthing people with a key focus on addressing inequalities in all aspects of care.
