Job summary

A leading university hospital in the Midlands is seeking a dedicated Consultant specialising in Medical Oncology to join their esteemed breast cancer service. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced staff in a collaborative environment, managing early-stage to advanced cancers. Applicants must hold a Primary Medical Degree, be fully GMC registered, and demonstrate a special interest in breast cancer.

Qualifications

  • CCT expected within 6 months of interview date.
  • Experience in prescribing and managing patients with systemic chemotherapy.

Responsibilities

  • Join a team of Consultant Oncologists working in the breast cancer service.
  • Work alongside specialists in each tumour site.

Job description

This university hospital, based in the Midlands, was rated ‘outstanding' for ‘care' in 2019. The appointee will join a team of Consultant Oncologists working in the breast cancer service. This trust has an international reputation in managing early-stage and advanced cancers.

To be eligible for this post, you must have:

  1. Primary Medical Degree
  2. Full GMC registration – ESSENTIAL
  3. Eligible to be included on the Specialist Register
  4. CCT expected within 6 months of interview date
  5. MRCP
  6. Experience and special interest in breast cancer
  7. Experience in prescribing and managing patients with systemic chemotherapy
  8. Ability to make independent and appropriate clinical decisions

Additional information

  • The successful applicant will work alongside specialists in each tumour site, and none of the tumour sites will be a single-handed practice.
