Job summary

East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a consultant in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. The post supports a seven-surgeon unit with growth, covering elective and emergency surgery, outpatient services, day-case and inpatient care.

The role emphasises head and neck surgery with access to robotic head and neck procedures at the Kent and Canterbury site. GMC and GDC registration, plus a CCT or specialist registration, are required.

Qualifications

• MRCS(UK) is required.
• CCT or specialist registration, or obtained within 6 months of interview.
• Full GMC registration is required.
• Full GDC registration is required.
• Trained in all aspects of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality maxillofacial surgical patient services.
• Provide elective and emergency surgical care.
• Manage outpatient, day-case and inpatient patients.
• Prioritise outpatient and admission lists within nationally defined targets.
