We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic colleague to join our team for this exciting post involved in Stroke Medicine at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.

Main duties of the job

We are seeking to recruit a dynamic and passionate Consultant Stroke Physician who will join the existing team of supportive and dedicated Consultant colleagues, all of whom embrace Trust values.

Person Specification

Education and Qualifications

• CCT in Geriatric medicine (or within six months of CCT) or on the Specialist Register.
• The candidate should be accredited in General Medicine/Acute Medicine.
• MRCP or equivalent.
• Higher degree e.g. PhD or MD.
• Research experience.
• Acute Internal Medicine SCE.
• Previous QIP experience.

Experience

• Broad experience in Acute and General Medicine.
• Teaching experience / willingness to teach medical, nursing & other staff.
• Experience of audit / clinical research.
• Understanding of the NHS and its organisation.
• Completed publications in appropriate journal(s).
• Previous experience in Orthogeriatrics.

Skills and knowledge

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lead a team.
• Commitment to work with other consultants and members of the multi‑disciplinary team.
• Commitment to the achievement of Government and Trust targets.
• Willingness and ability to participate in the on‑call rota.
