A regional NHS Trust in Hereford is seeking a Consultant in Stroke Medicine to lead and develop stroke services across Herefordshire. The role involves assisting in the provision of the Stroke Service, contributing to service development and training medical staff. Suitable candidates will have MRCP or equivalent and full GMC registration. The position offers a competitive salary and full-time work within a supportive environment.
Recruitment incentive : £20K
We are seeking to appoint an innovative and dynamic Consultant in Stroke Medicine to be involved in the delivery and development of stroke and TIA services across Herefordshire.
Stroke and TIA services in Herefordshire and Worcestershire have changed significantly over the last 10 years, with centralisation of Hyper Acute and Acute stroke services in Worcestershire at the Worcestershire Royal Hospital site in 2013 and the integration of hyper acute (6 bedded HASU), acute and rehabilitation stroke services at the Hereford Hospital site. These changes have resulted in improvements to stroke services across the Integrated Care System. Hereford Hospital has consistently achieved a SSNAP A or B rating.
The post will be key to delivering the ICs vision for stroke and TIA services across Herefordshire and Worcestershire. The individual will work with senior colleagues and executives in the development of an integrated service model for stroke and TIA across the ICs.
