A leading healthcare provider in England is seeking a Consultant in Respiratory and General Medicine. The successful candidate will develop a pulmonary infection service, manage general respiratory clinics, and participate in on-call duties. Ideal candidates will have significant experience in respiratory care and a desire to lead in a dynamic team environment.
Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking to recruit a Consultant in Respiratory and General Medicine. The successful candidate will join a team of 11 consultants cross-county and will participate in a ward consultant of the week rota on the Worcester Royal site and provide rotational support for the virtual ward. They will lead and develop a pulmonary infection service and clinic, provide general respiratory clinics and conduct procedure lists. The department would be particularly keen to receive applications from consultants with a pulmonary infection interest and background but would be happy to consider other sub-specialty areas with applicants pre-interview. The post includes a general medical on-call commitment.
The department has a well established team of nurse practitioners, highly specialised respiratory nurses, respiratory physiotherapists (with an interest in development of MDT clinics) and physiologists, and the successful candidate will benefit from a cohesive and highly supportive MDT environment. The department is actively recruiting to research trials and has excellent research nurse and department support.
As part of the Consultant Advisory Appointment Committee, you will be asked to provide a 5 minute presentation, topic to be confirmed.
