Applicationsare invited for Post of Consultant Paediatrician with a special interest in Epilepsy. The Post offers 10 Programmed Activities. South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust is looking to recruit a passionate consultant paediatrician. The Post is a substantive Post, less than full-time Applications would also be welcomed. The Paediatric Department provides population-based services across South Tyneside and Sunderland and works very closely with our multidisciplinary teams, special schools and health centres helping to bring services to the community as well as hospital-based services. You will be expected to have, or to obtain within six months of interview, a CCT in Paediatrics. Enquiries or arrangement for a preliminary visit are welcome.

This Post will have a key focus on the care of children with epilepsy. You will also provide services within general paediatrics including contributing to the general paediatric on-call and safeguarding rota.

You will join the existing team of General Paediatrician and paediatric neurodisability consultants as well as the wider Paediatric team including Community Paediatricians, Specialist Nurses, Care for Health Team, Speech and Language Therapists, Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists. This Post will compliment both general and neurodisability paediatric services.
