Overview

A vacancy at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHS). UHS is pleased to offer a fantastic opportunity to work with us. The role: Consultant in Infectious Diseases and Medical Microbiology (permanent 9 PA post), incorporating both inpatient infectious diseases and microbiology work. You will join the Integrated Department of Infection, which provides inpatient and outpatient Infectious Diseases services, Medical Microbiology, Medical Virology, Infection Prevention and Control, and a 24/7 on-call Microbiology service.

UHS provides secondary and tertiary care to Southampton and to approximately three million people across Wessex. The Trust is a leading centre for Infectious Diseases research, including metagenomics, and a key partner in the Southern Counties Pathology network. UHS is a large acute teaching Trust offering learning and development opportunities. UHS is rated ‘Good’ by the CQC and performed well in the latest NHS Staff Survey for staff engagement and advocacy as a place to work or receive care.
